keith's right eye

Keith's right eye is slowing opening. Right now, all you can see is a bit of the white part of his eyes. When his left eye began to open, it took about 2-3 weeks to open fully. Over a period of many days, he was able to open his eyes wider and wider. It seems like that will be the same case with the right eye. Hopefully, within the next week or two, he'll be able to open it fully. The eye doctor took a look at him a few days ago and said there is absolutely no damage! We praise God for that.

Hi Keith,

I am glad to hear that your right eye is slowly opening. This week started out to be very busy for me at work. With all this rain the city (City of La Canada Flintridge)declared a local emergency which means we are at level two emergency. All staff and volunteers had to be ready for possible disaster. I work at the city hall in La Canada now. The last time I saw you, I was still at Forest Lawn.

We are very thankful here at the city that no one got hurt. Some residents lost their homes or on the verge of losing their homes. But we are all very thankful that one lost their lives here like in La Conchita.

Bill and I were talking and it seems as if God is trying to send a message to us that He is more powerful and all knowing. No matter how advanced we are we can not surpass God's power.

Keith I want you to remember that this battle you are fighting is for all those kids you ministered to and to the many people you have crossed path in your 33 years here on earth. You are our testimony, faith and hope that God does exist. You show all of us that life is not about being in our comfort zone. By your suffering you have shown us that we need to live each day for our Lord. Each day we need to get up and thank the Lord that He is our comfort and that the suffering He endured on the cross had a purpose for us all.

Keith, there is a purpose for all your suffering. God has not put you through this ordeal (misery) to make you weak and useless. He did this because He knows that their is a life out there that needs your suffering to help them realize that they too need God in their life. They are coming to the Lord because you are showing them that God is faithful to His children.

I hope and pray that you find peace and as hard as it may be, you need to rest and get your strength because you are going to take this world and Satan on like you have never done before.

Keith, Satan lost the battle. You won!!! You are the victorious one, not Satan. You faced him and you conquered him. God Bless You!!

Love,
Bill & Joanne Bortfeld
